Administration and supervision of schools, legal aspects, research methods and leadership for school directors

Community Involvement

I began my professional career as an English elementary school teacher. After, I became a public school director. In these positions I involved the community in the school projects and we became very effective in the learning process. In 1993 the school where I was the principal became one of the first forty community schools in Puerto Rico. Under this classification I worked very hard with the community and the National Guard Military Stores became godfathers of the school. With their help we became a school of excellence. Finally I worked for 30 years for the public school system in Puerto Rico beginning as a teacher and finishing as part of the Secretary of Education staff.
