Exhibit Location: Cambridge College Town Common

500 Rutherford Avenue, Boston

About Talking Points:

Space for conversation and debate is presented in partnership with Cambridge College, taking inspiration from the theme for their 2022-2023 Academic Year: Common Ground.

Open-mindedness is a necessary precondition to finding common ground. When we examine our own biases and are willing to engage with diverse others and novel ideas, we can find common points of agreement and ways to be in relationship with one another. What does it look like to genuinely achieve common ground? How can we celebrate the ways that disparate people have located common ground, sharing their humanity with one another in a variety of ways that made the connection possible?

For this call, CAA invited artists to consider the ways in which the visual medium can make space for open dialogue around pressing issues, whether local or global. The entirety of the exhibit will be featured online for the duration of the exhibition timeline.
