Cybersecurity Careers Through the Eyes of Department of Homeland Security & FBI Experts

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, Cambridge College hosted its first Distinguished Speaker Series on Cybersecurity. The event was a panel discussion on cybersecurity careers through the eyes of Department of Homeland Security and FBI experts and featured two members of the College’s Cybersecurity Advisory Council: Hope Palmer and Ron Ford.

Hope presently serves as an FBI Intelligence Analyst and has worked cyber investigations for FBI Boston over the past decade. Ron currently works with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and has nearly 20 years of experience in cybersecurity in the federal government working across the Departments of Justice, Defense, and Homeland Security.

The panel was moderated by a member of Cambridge College’s Cyber faculty, Jonathan Silva. Professor Silva currently works for State Street Corporation as the Information Security Officer for the Legal, Regulatory Industry and Government Affairs, Corporate Administration, and Global Security teams. Prior to joining State Street, Jon worked for the U.S. Federal Judiciary in a number of roles.
