Mandela Washington Fellows - Week Two

The theme this week for the Cambridge College Mandela Washington Fellows was Community and Talent Development with a focus on leadership development, community wellness and cultivation of local talent
Early in the week, Founder and CEO of Be the Change, Inc., delivered a presentation about Incubators for Entrepreneurial Talent.
Then the Fellows visited the City Year Headquarters for Idealism. There, they toured the facility and learned about the importance of reducing the student dropout ratio and the work the organization does in an attempt to keep all students in school.
At the Harvard Museum of Natural History, Cambridge College’s Professor Peter Hughes led a discussion on Leadership for Talent Development, Retention & Nurturing Others to Achieve.
Over the weekend, our Fellows visited the Black Heritage Trail & African Meeting House to learn about African American history. Then they walked the Freedom Trail in Historic Boston followed by a cookout with some fireworks!
