CC - Springfield Opens Student Veterans of America Local Chapter

In response to the increase of Military and Veteran students at Cambridge College - Springfield, Eric Segundo, Bachelor of Arts ’14, initiated the process of starting an official chapter of the Student Veterans of America Chapter.

The chapter is in its founding semester and is being supported administratively by Admissions Counselor Brian Smith.  The chapter will serve as a resource to all military, veterans, and family that are Cambridge College students presently and in the future.  It will provide opportunities for the students to build community, while providing opportunities for leadership and networking to augment their studies while at the college.  This student-led organization represents an excellent opportunity to reach out to the military and veteran population of Western Massachusetts and Connecticut.  Eric is also the Director of Veterans Services for the Town of Ludlow, MA and the VFW District 7 Commander.
