Payroll – Authorization for Voluntary Payroll Deductions

The purpose of this policy is to state what is required by an employee to authorize the College to make voluntary deductions from their gross pay.


This policy applies to all employees with voluntary payroll deductions.


Employees must provide written authorization to the Human Resources Office to authorize voluntary deductions to be taken from their gross pay. This pertains to initial authorizations as well as all changes to authorizations.

Email messages are not an accepted means of providing authorization.

The nature and amount of all payroll deductions will be itemized on the employee’s pay stub.
