About Ebony Shaaf

ShaafEbony Shaaf is the Managing Director of Information Security and Risk Management at State Street where she is responsible for building and operationalizing efficient and effective programs in the areas of governance, policy and controls, regulatory relations, third party risk, security education and awareness, and metrics and reporting.

Ms. Shaaf has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology with 15 years dedicated in cyber security where she was responsible for setting the strategic direction, planning and building of Identity and Access Management programs and operations for financial and technology firms prior to joining State Street.

Ms. Shaaf also served as an ambassador for the Diversity and Inclusion program in her previous role as Senior Vice President at Moody’s Corporation, where she was responsible for creating awareness and educating the Cybersecurity organization on the importance of building diverse teams and supporting D&I initiatives. Ms. Shaaf has served as a mentor for Girls Who Code and outside of that program, continues to mentor girls and women by helping them choose and succeed in STEM related programs and careers.
