Cambridge College, in partnership with Encore Boston Harbor, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Greater Boston Gaming Career Institute. The ceremony featured remarks from Encore Boston Harbor CEO Robert DiSalvio, Cambridge College President Deborah Jackson, and Wynn Resorts CEO Matt Maddox. State Senator Sal DiDomenico and State Representative Dan Ryan, as well as many students from the inaugural class, were also in attendance.

On June 1, 2018, Cambridge College was honored to induct sixteen new members into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. During the induction ceremony, the sixth of its kind since the Cambridge College Chapter was launched in 2013, students from the School of Management and School of Undergraduate Studies were recognized for their outstanding academic achievements in management programs.
Hosted by the Schools of Psychology and Counseling and Undergraduate Studies, Cambridge College held the Fourth Annual Health and Human Services Career Expo.
This year's event was held at the new Boston campus, and featured the largest number of participating sponsors with 21 of the Commonwealth's top Health and Human Services organizations. Throughout the evening, over 120 students explored employment and internship opportunities and networked with hiring managers and field supervisors.
To a packed room of over 160 Cambridge College students, faculty and staff, Dr. Carlos Santiago, Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Higher Education, shared the extraordinary changes occurring across the higher education landscape. He highlighted the enrollment challenges facing Massachusetts colleges and the fierce competition for students from out-of-state colleges. On March 8, 2018, Cambridge College Boston hosted one of its most successful all-college career-panel discussions. Close to a hundred alumni, faculty members, administrators and students were in attendance for this fun and informative evening.
On Thursday, March 1, Cambridge College hosted a wonderful celebration in honor of the 90th birthday of beloved member of the board of trustees: John K. Dineen. Among those in attendance were John’s fellow CC board members, friends, and family, including three of his five children—each of whom led guests in a toast to their father.
Cambridge College celebrated Black History Month with a Slam Poetry/Spoken Word event on February 15. Alumni, students, staff and outside guests showcased their talents through song and poem. The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Ethlyn Davis-Fuller, Professor Emeritus, who shared her presentation of Black History: Building/Sharing the Journey.
