Dr. Elena Cherepanov's mission is to train competent, culturally informed, compassionate and ethical trauma specialists around the world.

Professional Experience

Dr. Cherepanov is an internationally recognized trauma specialist, trainer and consultant for UNICEF, Office of Victims Assistance, NAPPI International.

Psychologist with over 20 years of university teaching, direct care and clinical coordination. Has trained, supervised and consulted trauma specialists around the world, working with MSF, Caritas International, The Last Mile-Health, UNICEF, International and American Red Cross and other NGOs: Chernobyl, Armenia, Chchnya, Kosovo, Liberia, Russia, Boston Marathon bombing, Sandy storm, Ukraine, Abkhazia.

Has been working in mental health and health care systems in eastern Massachusetts and Toronto as a direct care provider, clinical coordinator and program director.
