About the partnership of Cambridge College and EMS Academy

EMS Academy, a leading provider of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) training has partnered with Cambridge College to launch their first ever Boston-based Emergency Medical Training (EMT) Basic program located in Boston.

Cambridge College’s state-of-the-art campus will provide the EMT Basic program, and its students, an expansive new home with improved amenities and meaningful academic options. This collaboration will allow students the opportunity to complete the rigorous EMT Basic certificate, while providing a unique pathway towards degree completion at Cambridge College.

“We are delighted to welcome EMS Academy to our new home in Boston and look forward to this collaboration growing to include more health care service options for our students and the communities we both serve,” said Deborah C. Jackson, President of Cambridge College.

“Emergency medical professionals play such critical roles in all communities,” added Lori Joyce, Founder and Director of EMS Academy, “and being able to partner with Cambridge College to provide the best quality educational experience possible, in addition to expanding the career options for those who chose this career is an amazing opportunity.”

The EMT Basic program will launch on September 10th and run year-round with 12-week, day and evening programs, and six-week intensive sessions.  Hosting this EMT Basic Program allows Cambridge College to contribute to expanding allied health care resources in Charlestown, and join area providers such as MGH Partners, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, and the Visiting Nurse Association of Boston, to name a few located in this emerging neighborhood.  “We look forward to EMS Academy becoming a part of our exciting and vibrant Charlestown campus.  We believe that this collaboration provides a distinct opportunity to enhance our shared relationship with Boston’s health care industry,” noted Jackson.

Located a mere five-minute walk from the Sullivan Square Orange Line T stop, Cambridge College’s Boston campus is easily accessible to communities throughout the Greater Boston and surrounding areas.  The campus offers a wide array of student centric amenities including multiple gathering spaces for small group work, flexible classrooms, ample free parking, the CC Store and the CC Bistro.
