General Information
Maintaining F1 Status
All F1 non-immigrant students must maintain their F1 status by registering full time in:
- The first term of study
- Every Fall term
- Every Spring term
Full-time registration is:
- 12 credits for undergraduate students
- 8 credits for graduate student
Students may reduce course load only:
- For academic reasons in the first term of study
- With a valid medical excuse
- In the last term of study prior to graduation
