Director, Corporate and Military Partnerships Job Description


New England Institute of Business at Cambridge College (NEIB) is seeking a seasoned business-to-business sales professional, to join our NEIB education partnerships team as the Director, Corporate Partnerships.

The Director is responsible for securing and nurturing new educational partnerships with companies and organizations in targeted industry verticals, such as healthcare and manufacturing, that align with the College’s goals for expanded academic programming. Through these partnerships, the Director will conduct onsite and online student recruitment events and facilitate other marketing activities to promote NEIB’s programs to corporate partner employee populations.

Further, the Director will be responsible for engaging and fostering partnerships with the branches of U.S. Military, which encompasses gaining and maintaining knowledge of military education programs, military tuition assistance programs, GI Bill programs, and procedures for applying for benefits. The Director is also responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with service-specific military education support offices and educational support specialists to best facilitate the enrollment process of the military-connected student. 

Reports To: Senior Director, Academic and Corporate Partnerships

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Accountable for new corporate and military partnership development and management of student recruitment efforts which result in qualified student leads. Conduct onsite information sessions and webinars with military units and organizations and corporate partners, attend educational fairs, and tradeshows and conferences.
  • Establish and/or maintain relationships with military units/organizations, education offices/specialists and key contacts in corporate human resources and learning and development departments, and foster collaboration through ongoing communication efforts tied to term starts.
  • Responsible for all student enrollment targets (monthly, quarterly) and communicate results in an effective and timely manner. Performs at a level to meet or exceed assigned metrics.
  • Maintain appropriate prospecting and recruitment activity reports; maintain up-to-date and accurate client/prospect database.
  • Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all NEIB programs, and the regulatory, operational, and pedagogical complexities of higher education enrollment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of five years of business-to-business consultative sales experience
  • Prior military service and general understanding of the Military Educational System and tuition assistance programs of the Army, Navy/Marines, and Air Force, preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional capability of delivering persuasive presentations.
  • Strong telephone prospecting, networking and customer service skills.
  • Ability to meet recruitment goals.
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be self-motivated, work well under pressure and be eager to succeed in a competitive, results-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have a car and a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel in the assigned territory, as necessary.  (Mileage and other travel-related expenses are reimbursed.)

Working Conditions

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • No or very limited physical effort required.
  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
  • Frequent travel to military locations, conferences, tradeshows and other student recruitment or marketing events (some overnight travel may be required).
