Coordinator of Transfer Partnerships Job Description

Job Summary

Responsible for implementing a cohesive and systematic transfer recruitment strategy with community college and high school articulation partners; overseeing and implementing transfer programs; planning, facilitation, and implementation of transfer workshops; helping develop transfer documents and serving as a liaison between the partners and the institution. The Coordinator will provide excellent customer service to potential transfer students and serves as the initial contact person to possible transfers. Required to be at the partner community colleges and other partnering institutions every week in a rotating schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a systematic, systemic and comprehensive transfer recruitment plan.
  • Establish term and year-long transfer goals for all sites and locations in coordination with Dean and Regional Sites Directors.
  • Coordinate transfer activities with community college/high school articulation partners.
  • Hold pre-advising session for prospective students.
  • Initiate, design, implement, and maintain all program to program articulation agreements under the direct supervision of the Dean of SOUS. This includes facilitating faculty and department meeting between colleges, and negotiating solutions as needed.
  • Act as a transfer resource to administration, students, faculty, staff, and coaches/advisors within CC and with partners.
  • Maintain professional knowledge in applicable areas.
  • Oversee the design, maintenance, and utili7ation of the transfer web site.
  • Participate in retention and outreach activities.
  • Establish relationships with faculty, and staff of transfer partners.
  • Schedule students for appointments with advisors, assessment (as needed), orientation sessions and other support services.
  • Work with Admissions, Counselors, Coaches, Advisors, Financial Aid, and Registrar staff to provide students with the resources and knowledge needed to enroll.
  • Assist students in the four-year college enrollment process.
  • 14 Maintain adequate inventory and updates flyers, pamphlets, and worksheets that are designed to inform students of programs of study at CC.
  • Collaborates and assists Transfer Credit Advisor as needed to ensure speedy evaluation of transfer credits into the college.
  • Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Other Duties/Responsibilities

The Coordinator of transfer Affairs may be asked to periodically attend faculty and department Chairs' meetings in order to facilitate communications and coordination within the academic unit.

Education & Experience Required

  • Self-motivated and focused self-starter with proven strong communication skills
  • Experience in student guidance and/or advising
  • Experience in higher education student enrollment and registration processes
  • Bachelor's degree required. Experienced at higher education settings preferred.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • Understanding of credit transfer articulation agreements
  • Knowledge of the structure of undergraduate academic programming
  • Knowledge of the federal financial aid processes and regulations
  • Knowledge of international student visa requirements

Physical Effort Required

Periodic moderate lifting of promotional materials and set-ups required.
