Assistant/Associate/Full Professor - School of Management Job Description

Job Summary

This is a full time Core Faculty position in the graduate School of Management with responsibilities in the MBA and other graduate level programs.  Responsibilities include: teaching, academic advising, applied scholarship and/or professional activity and institutional service.

Essential Functions

  • Teaching courses in any one or more of the following areas (in order of need):
  1. business analytics: including quantitative decision making and applied statistical methods, data management, data mining, business intelligence, big data analytics, web and social network analytics, predictive analytics, risk analysis
  2. information systems/ business technologies/information technology management/ project management/cyber security
  3. operations management/supply chain /logistics/procurement
  • Student engagement including, but not limited to, recruitment, orientation and advising, supervision of capstones and field experiences
  • Program and curriculum development, participation in program review and student learning outcomes assessment
  • Maintaining a program of applied scholarly research or professional activity
  • Institutional service as specified in the AFT Faculty Union Contract


A PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field is required; a minimum of 2 years teaching experience and 3-5 years professional experience; familiarity with current business technology and tools in the area of expertise, preferably across a range of industries (e.g. health care, retail, non-profit, financial services); and a record of applied research and/or professional contributions. Experience in working with a diverse population of adult learners is a plus. Rank is commensurate with experience.
