The Cambridge College Professional Development & School Collaborative Program (Collaborative Program) provides “stand alone” professional development courses, as well as deeper academic partnerships with districts, private schools, charter schools and educational organizations. In both of these approaches, the goal is the same: “to promote quality educational opportunities for students and the educational community”. Each course or program of courses is specifically designed to meet the professional development needs of the organization.
Cambridge College’s School of Education works with schools, educational collaboratives, and organizations to offer courses individually tailored for the specific needs of organizations and staff. Our courses enhance your professional development program and improve the educational process in your school system or organization. Your professional staff will earn graduate credits to assist them with re-certification and professional advancement, and gain valuable training in specific areas most needed in your own district.
Our collaborative courses are offered at a greatly reduced cost with the intent to enhance educational partnerships and to meet our College mission of providing academically excellent, time-efficient, and cost-effective higher education for a diverse population of working adults for whom those opportunities may have been limited or denied.
Professional development courses are planned and offered in concert with individual schools or organizations for professional development and collaborative programs. Many of the courses have been designed to meet required training mandates approved by the Massachusetts DESE. Other courses are offered in conjunction with community-centered early childhood programs and county organizations.
