  • Do I still have time to register for the current term?

Yes. You may establish your file with Cambridge College by submitting an application and $30 application fee. You may register for classes with a $100 deposit which will be applied toward your tuition. From then on, students register through the college's web site. Because we don'twant paperwork to get in the way of your education, we guarantee that you won't miss class!

  • What is meant by the term "accelerated" programs?

Adult students generally don't want to spend years and years earning a degree. That's why Cambridge College works hard to create schedules that meet adult students' needs. We offer intensive weekend classes in the fall and spring, and weekday and weekend classes in the summer, when adult students are available. Fewer, longer class meetings require less travel time and allow more time to focus on in-depth topics. The Internet has also made communication with classmates and instructors easier and faster. We take full advantage of this accelerated format to speed up your education. Most of our students are able to take 12 - 15 credits per term.

  • Will Cambridge College offer classes throughout the year so that I can finish my degree requirements quickly?

Yes. Cambridge College schedules classes year-round in three terms: spring, summer and fall. Spring and fall courses are primarily held on weekends, while summer courses are held both during the week and on weekends.

  • What are the class times?

Fall & Spring classes: Weekends: 8:00 a.m.-6:15 p.m. including lunch hour and breaks.

    Summer classes:
    Weekdays: 8:00 a.m.-6:15 p.m. (4 days/week)
    Weekends: 8:00 a.m.-6:15 p.m

The instructor may modify the class hours to accommodate the material and teaching style.

  • Are the classes held online or on location?

We believe in an adult learning model that utilizes instructor-led classes and collaborative learning. Online courses are used to complement on-site classes.

  • Can Cambridge College assist me with financial aid?

Yes. Although the responsibility for course payment is yours, our financial aid office will gladly help you apply for a federal student loan.

  • Do I have to take any tests to enter Cambridge College?

No standardized entrance exams are needed. Rather, Cambridge College welcomes adult learners based on your motivation, your prior life achievements, and commitment to realizing your life goals.

For undergraduate programs, a high school diploma is required, and three years experience are recommended. For master's degree programs, a bachelor's degree is required and five years of experience are recommended. Some credential programs have further requirements as well. For Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS), a master's degree is required for admission.

  • Can I transfer graduate credits from other institutions?

Yes. If you attended a regionally accredited college or university, we may accept up to 12 graduate credits into our Master of Education programs, if they meet current program requirements and general criteria for transfer. Transfer courses must meet specific requirements for transfer int licensure/credential programs.

  • What about books and use of the library?

We recognize the potentially high cost of books and make every attempt to use textbooks that are the best in their respective fields and are fairly priced. We also offer free access to an extensive online library, which lets you focus on your specialty.

  • Does California recognize master's degrees from Cambridge College?

Yes. Because of the reciprocal agreement between Massachusetts and California, those of our master's degree programs that are approved by Massachusetts Dept. of Education for educator licensure can help you to fulfill your credential requirements in California.
