For more than ten years, Santiago has been an active proponent for the empowerment of other community members’ lives. He has worked for the rehabilitation of addicts, offered motivational workshops for inmates, collected clothes for underserved members of public housing projects and contributed to the betterment of children at underprivileged schools, among other activities. Recently, as a consequence of his new role at Cambridge College, he was hired, admitted and sworn in at the Guaynabo Rotary Club. Because of his intense and sustained volunteerism efforts, he was recognized as a Service Leader.
