Inauguration and Guaranteed Acceptance Agreement

On Friday, April 30, Asnuntuck Community College (ACC) inaugurated the school’s fourth president, James P. Lombella. Lombella received his master of management degree in 2008 from the Cambridge College - Springfield Regional Center. He began his career as the founder of a retail and service company and, following a successful start-up, he joined Jen-Coat, Inc. where he was appointed to the position of Quality Control and Lead Auditor.

Since 2009, Mr. Lombella has served in various roles including Director, then Associate Dean of Workforce Development and Continuing Education, Chief Financial Officer, and as an adjunct faculty member in Asnuntuck’s Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center.

Cambridge College - Springfield recently announced their Guaranteed Acceptance Agreement with Asnuntuck Community College. The agreement will strengthen academic and student support between both colleges while facilitating barrier-free transition from the associate’s degree to baccalaureate completion.
