Abuse of these privileges will be subject to disciplinary action, as established by the operating policies and procedures of the College. The College reserves the right to limit access in response to evidence of violations of College policy or federal, state or local laws. • Policy on Use of Software - Cambridge College will provide copies of legally acquired software to meet all legitimate needs in a timely fashion and in sufficient quantities for all of our computers. The use of software obtained from any other source could present security and legal threats to the organization, and such use is strictly prohibited.

  • One Computer Policy - In an effort to minimize the cost and responsibility of Cambridge College employees using both desktop and laptop computers, Cambridge College will now limit each employee to one computer. Supervisors will determine whether employees need desktop or notebook computers based on duties and positions.

    Exceptions are as follows:

    1.    Executive team members may have more than one computer for college-related use.

    2.    If a user experiences unforeseen circumstances such as a stolen machine, hardware or software issues, the IT Department will provide a loaner computer until the machine is fixed or replaced.

    3.    If an employee is working on a temporary special project, the Director of Technology may approve the use of a loaner computer.
