Insurance

Dear Cambridge College International Student,

As you prepare for the upcoming academic year, it's time to think about your student health insurance plan. Knowing that you will be able to receive the services you need in the event of a sickness or injury while attending Cambridge College is critically important to your overall academic experience.

Cambridge College is pleased announce the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan tailored especially for the College's matriculated students. Massachusetts Law requires that all college students registered for at least 75% of full-time credits must have health insurance.

As of Fall 2010, the following rules will apply:

  • NEW Fall 2010 international students registered for 3/4 of full time credit hours or more are automatically enrolled in and billed for the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan.
  • Current international students are invited to enroll in the insurance program or may waive out with proof of adequate insurance.
  • Students who are currently on OPT may enroll in the insurance plan, but are not required to do so.

    Some highlights of the plan include the following:
  • The plan offers benefits which includes hospital room and board, inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, labs and x-rays and physician office visits.
  • The maximum benefit allowed for each condition is $50,000.
  • Services provided by a participating network provider are generally covered at 80% of the Usual, Reasonable and Customary (URC)Charge.

    NEW Online Enrollment/Waiver Process- 2010-2011

    To enroll in or waive out of the Student Accident and Sickness Insurance Plan for the 2010-2011 policy year, log onto www.gallagherkoster.com/Cambridge . Click on 'Student Waive/Enroll Forms'. First time users will be required to create a unique User Account. Once user account has been created, select the '2010-2011 Cambridge College Enrollment or Waiver Form'.

    The deadline to enroll is October 4, 2010. This is an on-line process only. Paper submissions, letters, phone calls or faxes will not be accepted.
