Our comprehensive offerings encompass educator licensure and professional advancement opportunities for those in Massachusetts, as well as non-licensure programs customized to meet state authorizations in other locations. We are dedicated to serving a diverse demographic of adult learners, including older-than-average graduate students, who bring valuable non-traditional experiences to our counseling and related fields.

Programs Offered in the School of Education & Counseling

Our mission is to empower educators in public and private institutions, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary to foster academic and social excellence in their students. Our programs are characterized by a blend of theory and hands-on practice, preparing educators to be catalysts for positive change in their schools and local and global communities.

Our core values, which guide our approach to education, encompass innovation in curriculum and teaching strategies, a commitment to diversity, a pursuit of academic excellence, a dedication to social justice, a foundation of honesty and integrity, and a focus on building a supportive community. At the School of Education & Counseling, we offer a range of graduate programs designed to meet the evolving needs of educators and counseling professionals. Our flagship Mental Health Counseling programs provide students with the best practical and theoretical exposure, allowing them to specialize in various areas of interest. Our academic programs are tailored to prepare students for licensure and professional credentials, ensuring they are well-equipped for diverse counseling careers.

We understand the importance of meeting state and professional association requirements for professional credentialing, which is why we strive to cover both academic requirements and supervised clinical practice hours. Please note that state regulations may change, potentially requiring program modifications. Our program chairs are available to assist students in understanding these changes, but students are responsible for ensuring their program of study aligns with all licensure and certification requirements.
