		Dan W. Butin, Assistant Dean, School of Education Ph.D., University of Virginia It is a pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Educational Leadership. Our Master of Education (MEd), Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) and Doctor of Education (EdD) programs are focused on educational leadership, with concentrations available in school administration, curriculum and instruction, and special education administration. Our goal is to provide you with opportunities to master new areas of practice, broaden your knowledge and skills, and participate at the highest levels of educational research, change, and reform. We are committed to making a systemic difference at the local, regional, and national level of the educational system.

The sequenced set of courses allows your cohort to develop professional relationships, support systems, and partnerships that will help sustain your learning, research, and professional development.
