EAD 688 – Legal Aspects of School Administration - 3 credits
This course explores the legal principles which apply to current educational practice. It specifically deals with issues of students' rights and teachers' rights which impact and influence the operation of schools and the related tension created by multiple structures. Laws/regulations and court decisions related to free speech, equal rights, and school discipline are studied. In addition, IDIA (special education) and No Child Left Behind are examined in depth.
