MASCD Teacher Leadership Certificate

This is a special program in which Cambridge College has partnered with the Massachusetts Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (MASCD) to offer the MASCD Teacher Leadership Certificate online program (TLC). Students who complete the six-course program will receive 18 graduate credits from Cambridge College and a teacher leadership certificate from MASCD. Cambridge College may award 16 credits towards the master's degree in school administration or 18 credits towards a CAGS in educational leadership, dependent upon prior degree(s) earned, to students who successfully complete the TLC and pay the required fees. Interested individuals may contact Dr. David Troughton (www.mascd.org) or Dr. George Guasconi (george.guasconi@cambridgecollege.edu) for specifics of the TLC program.

    Step 1: MASCD Application
Inform MASCD (by e-mail) that you intend to apply. Visit the MASCD website, read all about the certificate, and follow online instructions to complete the MASCD application process.

    Step 2: Cambridge College Application
Go to the Cambridge College home page and click on the yellow box "MYCC/Register for Classes", and click on the "Admission" tab. Under "Online Application," choose "MASCD Collaborative Online Certificate Program Application" and complete the application.

    Step 3: Student Identity
The Office of Student Records and Data Management will email students informing them that they will receive a second email within 24 to 48 hours. The second email will provide students with an ID number and a PIN.

    Step 4: Registration
Students wishing to earn graduate credit may register online for the courses being offered in the appropriate semester. Go to the Cambridge College home page and select "Register for Courses."

The MASCD Collaborative Online Certificate Program consists of six, three credit courses. This is a special program in which students must register for all six courses. The courses will be offered in a set order, as determined by MASCD and Cambridge College.

When a cohort group schedule requires courses to be offered in more than one semester, students will be required to submit online registration for the subsequent semester.

Note: any student wishing to take the six course program without receiving credit must register as an "audit" student. Students who audit a course must download and print the registration form and submit it to the College in "hard copy" format.

    Step 5: Tuition Payment
MASCD will provide Cambridge College with a purchase order (PO) for payment of all tuitions of students registered in a program cohort. The students will submit their payment directly to MASCD. The Cambridge College Bursar will invoice MASCD for the total tuition amount due for all registered students. MASCD will submit payment to the Bursar for all students, for all six courses, in a single payment. In the case of courses being offered to a cohort in more than one semester, the Bursar will credit the student account, and utilize the credited amount to pay the tuition for the appropriate course(s), in the appropriate semester.
