Distance Learning Office

Hormoz Goodarzy, Distance Learning Director The Distance Education Office manages and coordinates online courses offered by Cambridge College faculty across various programs, in coordination with the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Distance learning at Cambridge College is a combination of in-class and a computer-based learning management system. Several programs offer online courses using Internet-based distance education. These programs range in structure from a total virtual classroom environment to to a hands-on collaborative learning structure that combines classroom residency with online learning ("blended learning").

For more information, please contact Hormoz Goodarzy, Director of Distance Education: hormoz.goodarzy@cambridgecollege.edu or call 617-868-1000 ext. 1269.

Distance Learning in Cambridge College programs
National Institute for Teaching Excellence (NITE): after the first summer term in the classroom in Boston, most of the remaining Professional Seminars and course work may be completed online or in class at our regional centers.

If you are seeking educator licensure, please find out from your state department of education whether online course work is accepted, or whether you must complete a face-to-face program.

Enroll, Register, and Access Your Course
When you enroll in Cambridge College, you will receive an ID number and PIN from the Registrar's Office (617-868-1000 x1101) that you will need to log in to the MyCC web portal.

Your academic program outline (see the Academic Catalog) will suggest what courses may be taken online. When you go to the MyCC portal to search for your courses and register, look for courses designated "DL" after the course number (for example: EIT692 DL01). Distance learning courses and virtual professional seminars are conducted using the MyCC web portal. Find out more about MyCC.

Cambridge College Faculty members planning to teach distance learning courses should contact the Distance Learning Office for training and support.

If you experience any problems when using this site, please contact the IT department.
