POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Center Director, this full-time administrative position is responsible for assisting with the leadership and management of the day to day operations of the Regional Center. Specifically, the assistant director will oversee marketing, recruitment, and operations. The assistant director will be in charge when the Regional Center Director is absent. Responsibilities of this position include occasional travel to the main campus in Cambridge, MA. A flexible schedule is required to include regular evening and weekend participation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Marketing:
- Facilitates conversations with Center Director and staff to identify marketing strategies which are regionally appropriate.
- Confers with Executive Director of Marketing and Communications and Regional Center Director to develop semester by semester plans for marketing.
- Supports Marketing team by providing content for all materials and advertisements.
- Reviews materials created by marketing prior to publication.
Recruiting:
- Supervises Admissions Counselors in cooperation with Regional Center Director and Dean of Enrollment Management.
- Provides training, coaching and mentoring for admission counselors.
- Represents and collaborates with the local community to provide leads for admission counselors.
- Assists with student enrollment and registration.
- Attends recruitment events and activities.
- Facilitates admission counselors weekly meetings.
- Submits reports addressing recruitment activities to the Center Director and Dean of Enrollment Management on a monthly basis.
Operations and Office Management:
- Facilitates communication with the main campus to ensure that facilities are well maintained and operational needs are met.
- Assists in the oversight day to day operations to ensure center is running smoothly and productively.
- Provides direct supervision of staff as assigned by Center Director.
- Assists with hiring and performance evaluation.
- Assists and/or may be responsible with special projects as assigned.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Ability to work collaboratively, cooperatively, and independently with all staff and the center director
- Provide excellent customer service to all students and faculty
- Assist to maintain adequate supplies, materials, resources for all students, faculty, and admission counselors
QUALIFICATIONS: - Master Degree required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in higher education
EXPERIENCE: - Demonstrate professional, excellent oral and written skills
- Computer skills include Microsoft Office and database software
- Experience in conflict resolution and consensus building
- Ability to communicate and maintain systematic, coherent expectations with all constituents
SALARY: Commensurate with the position and qualifications of the candidate
