DATA ANALYST STUDENT RECORDS AND DATA MANAGEMENT OFFICE [Posted October 9, 2009]
GENERAL STATEMENT: The College is seeking a talented professional to provide data management, report writing and information systems support. Reporting to the Director of Data and Information Services, this fulltime, mid-level administrative position provides support to the Director, faculty and other professional staff.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Creates and produces reports using Info-Maker.
-Creates documentation for various processes, data validations and analyses, and applications.
-Creates, modifies and helps manage the admission component of the Jenzabar database.
-Enable user interface for report production
-Analyze and correct data to ensure accuracy of reports being delivered to upper management and college community
-Ability to code queries and stored procedures clearly and concisely, with a keen awareness of how the query/procedure meets the needs of the business.
-Provides training, guidance and mentorship to the staff.
-Provides general administrative support for the office and other related duties as needed.
Selected Regular Tasks
-Roll students to registration and resolve manual entries daily
-Resolve duplicate records
-Execute Senior Team Enrollment Reports daily
-Create and run ad-hoc reports in Info Maker 11.5
-Generate missing information letters and other Admissions Correspondence
-Serve as a backup coverage for data entry staff, during busy periods and absences. Will enter applications, inquiries, transcripts etc.
-Run validation reports daily
-Scrub data daily
-Assist Scheduling coordinator with data preparation via sql scripts
-Assist admissions representatives with all data changes and questions
-Import ASA Loan files twice per week
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required; Two years related administrative experience; Database management and report writing experience required; Excellence oral presentation and customer service skills; Strong knowledge of at least one of the following: SQL Server 2000/2005, Info-Maker, Jenzabar, Access or Crystal Reports; Facility with MSOffice Suite software and use of the internet as a research tool; Strong editing and proofreading skills; Quickness and versatility in handling new projects or modifying existing projects; Demonstrated ability to manage efficiently and expeditiously multiple tasks, responsibilities, and sometimes rapidly changing priorities and deadlines; Ability to work individually or within a team; Experience handling confidential/sensitive information; Detail oriented.
