INVENTORY CONTROL COORDINATOR Department of Information Technology [Posted September 9, 2009]
POSITION SUMMARY: This fulltime mid level administrative position reports to the IT Project Manager and is responsible for managing all College technology equipment inventory, including hardware, office equipment, and software. This position will require a flexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends and occasional travel within and outside of Massachusetts. Regular access to a vehicle is required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -Maintain and manage all College IT assets.
-Responsible for tracking IT assets and the distribution and decommissioning of all assets supplied to the Cambridge College community.
-Work with outside vendors to maintain warranties and repairs.
-Responsible for enforcing relevant policies and procedures and making recommendations for updating and revising them.
-Provide periodic reports to the Project Manager.
-Other related duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required; Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience, ideally within a technical environment; Required experience with asset tracking hardware/software; Strong MSOffice skills required; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Demonstrated customer service orientation; Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment; Excellent organizational skills required with the ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities; Ability to make independent judgments required; Strong time management skills required; valid drivers license required.
